Brace yourselves for an 8-Bit invasion, with Sony Pictures sharing the first official trailer for their summer blockbuster Pixels movie.
When NASA sent a time capsule into space way back in 1982, aliens misinterpreted it as a declaration of war rather than conveying a message of peace. Having now invaded Earth their attacks are based on 1980s video game classics, namely being Bandai Namco’s PAC-MAN and Nintendo’s very own Donkey Kong.
Adam Sandler, Peter Dinklage, Kevin James and Josh Gad are all onboard to save the day, but it is a cameo appearance by PAC-MAN creator Toru Iwatani that steals the limelight.
Pixels will release in cinemas across the United States on 24th July 2015.
