It would appear that Donkey Kong Country Returns is set to offer players a ‘Super Guide,’ that will operate much in the same way as that seen within New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
If you die eight times in succession, when you respawn you will be offered the chance to utilise it – turning Donkey Kong into Super Kong, a white version of himself. From here, Super Kong will be able to play through the level in its entirety for you although the catch is that any bananas, banana coins, puzzle pieces or KONG letters that are collected will be added to your overall stats.
However, if you merely use it to get past a section that you are struggling with you will be able to cancel its activation at any point, and carry on working through the level yourself. Handy stuff indeed.
