Nintendo has revealed plans to release a Donkey Kong and Pauline amiibo, news that was shared in today’s Donkey Kong Bananza Direct.
The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive supports amiibo, and scanning in the Donkey Kong and Pauline amiibo will reward you with the chance to unlock Pauline’s in-game Diva Dress early and receive KONG titles with explosive power.
Other Donkey Kong character amiibo can be scanned to receive gold KONG tiles, whereas any other amiibo will spawn a giant sphere of randomised terrain material to help you on your adventure.
Donkey Kong Bananza will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 17 July 2025.
