BBC Studios and Maze Theory have confirmed a release date for Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality on Nintendo Switch.
This reimagines the VR experience Doctor Who: The Edge of Time, now expanded “with brand new gameplay, new monsters and new worlds to explore.”
Wielding the sonic screwdriver on a universe-spanning quest to save reality, you will be guided by the Thirteenth Doctor and Tenth Doctor, voiced by Jodie Whittaker and David Tennant respectively.
As you work to solve the mystery behind a series of time-breaking glitches, you will be confronted with classic Doctor Who monsters such as the Daleks, Weeping Angels and Cybermen.
“With our partners at BBC Studios, we are giving Doctor Who fans and gamers an incredible new experience through space and time,” enthuses Maze Theory CEO Ian Hambleton.
“The appearance of both the Thirteenth and Tenth Doctors is set to be an epic event. The ‘Chaosverse’ is a mind-blowing new concept, which brings a whole new dimension to the Doctor Who experience.
“This much-anticipated console/PC launch follows the incredible success of the mobile game Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins and re-affirms our commitment to take players on the most unexpected and immersive narrative journeys.”

Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 30th September 2021.
