The Pokémon Company has announced that Disney XD will broadcast a Pokémon the Series: XY marathon this week, to kick off on Friday 14th April.

This will last for more than 24 hours, as the new home for Pokémon the Series plans to show all 48 episodes in the first season from start to finish.

Pokémon the Series: XY sees Ash and Pikachu set out on an adventure in the Kalos region, which had been introduced in Nintendo 3DS exclusives Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. On their travels they will become friends with genius inventor Clemont, his little sister Bonnie and fellow Trainer Serena, meeting new Pokémon as they explore the region and take on the Gyms that are scattered across it.

The Pokémon the Series: XY marathon will start at 6am on Friday 14th April, and will end at 6.30am on Saturday 15th April.

Disney XD will also air more Pokémon the Series episodes on Saturday mornings at 9am, Saturdays and Sundays at 7.30pm, and every weekday at 4pm.
