Nintendo of Europe has announced when Disney Art Academy will launch in the region.

The Nintendo 3DS exclusive will let aspiring artists participate in lessons inspired by Disney art and animation, using nine art tools such as pastels, paintbrushes and markers to sketch and paint characters like Mickey Mouse, Nemo from Finding Nemo, Frozen’s Elsa, Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear and Simba from The Lion King.

Lessons will provide a step-by-step guide to draw a single character, while the Free Paint mode will let you draw in any way that you choose. That can either be on an entirely blank canvas, or by selecting from more than 80 Disney images to use as reference.

The magic brush is a new addition to the Art Academy series, and will let artists add magical elements such as stars, bubbles and glitter to their masterpieces.

All completed artwork can be viewed at any time in the game’s Clubhouse, and can be shared on Miiverse or on social media through the Nintendo 3DS Image Share service. It can also be saved to the SD card, letting you transfer your creation to a PC to then print them out.

Disney Art Academy is now available exclusively for Nintendo 3DS, and will release in Europe on July 15th.
