Disney announce Brave: The Video Game

A video game adaptation will coincide with the release of Disney Pixar’s latest animated fantasy adventure ‘Brave’, set to hit cinemas this summer, Disney have announced.

The third person action-adventure will see players in the role of Merida, an expert archer and heroine, as you are transported to the mythical, rugged landscapes of Scotland, defeating enemies in your quest to save the kingdom from a magical curse.

You’ll be able to explore through both single player and co-operative play, with an additional “special bear mode”. The Nintendo DS version is filled with its own unique missions and character selection.

“We’re excited to offer a compelling game across multiple platforms for fans of the upcoming Disney Pixar film Brave. Whether gamers want to play on their own or with others, they can relive highlights from Merida’s journey and go on new adventures inspired by the legends of Scotland and Disney Pixar storytelling”, comments Javier Ferreira, Senior Vice President of Publishing for Disney Interactive Media Group.

Brave: The Video Game is due to launch this summer, alongside the film, for Wii and Nintendo DS.
