Discover Pokémon With QR Codes In Pokémon Sun And Moon

You will be able to discover information about Pokémon using a new QR Scanner function in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.

Whenever a player scans a special QR Code pattern, they can see details about the Pokémon that corresponds to it. This will let you register Pokémon in the Alola region to your Rotom Pokédex, learning where they live so that you can check their habitat and start searching for it.

This is designed to be a social experience too, with players able to display the QR Code patterns for Pokémon that they have caught in their Pokédex. You can share these with a friend, therefore allowing you to both register new Pokémon in your Pokédexes.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in North America, Australia and New Zealand on November 18th, and in Europe on November 23rd.
