Application Systems Heidelberg and Pirita Studio have announced that their sci-fi point-and-click adventure Mutropolis will release on Nintendo Switch this month.

Set on an abandoned Earth in the year 5000, mankind’s greatest achievements – such as the Mona Lisa and The Great Pyramid of Giza – have been long-forgotten. That is, except Henry Dijon and his ragtag team of archaeologists.

Having left Mars to dig up lost treasures on a now wild and inhospitable planet, searching the ruins of our civilization for weird artifacts was going well until Professor Totel is kidnapped.

Your efforts to rescue him will see you become among the first to enter the legendary city of Mutropolis. But, be warned, the Gods of ancient Egypt are real and they are trying to destroy humanity.

The publisher has outlined the game’s key features as below:

  • 50+ hand-drawn scenes, crammed with cute, weird characters.
  • Full voice-over in English, text localizations in Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Korean.
  • Archaeological puzzles with a sci-fi twist.

Mutropolis will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 18th August 2022 priced at £17.99 ($19.99).
