Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed that Digimon Survive will release on Nintendo Switch, a survival strategy RPG where your choices in conversation will redirect the story as it unfolds and how your Digimon will evolve in battle.

RPG Site reports that, in an article in Japanese magazine V-Jump, you will play as Takuma Momotsuka, a second year middle school student that becomes lost in a parallel world while at a camp picnic. Soon partnering up with Agumon, they must survive against the ferocious creatures that infest the parallel world as Takuma works out how to return to his own world.

With character designs from Uichi Ukumo and I Am Setsuna and Lost Sphear composer Tomoki Miyoshi behind the music, the game mixes 2D and 2D graphical styles.

While you will be able to explore the world in point-and-click scenes where you must uncover hidden keys for the story to progress, battles will take place across square grid maps – in which you must give orders to your partner Digimon to move and attack enemies, which uses EP (Energy Points).

Digimon Survive will release for Nintendo Switch in Japan in 2019.
