After the Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube, Wii, and Wii U, the Nintendo Switch ushers in the seventh home console generation for the company.
There is a subtle nod towards this in the preview trailer, which we can first see when the Japanese Splatoon team start making plans for eSports domination.
Emblazoned across their team’s shirts is “Gen 7”, appearing in a font not too dissimilar to the insanely fresh styles that can be seen in Booyah Base’s Jelly Fresh in Inkopolis Plaza.
Nintendo’s attention to detail shines through once again, and we’re sure that will only continue as we continue to learn more about Nintendo Switch in the coming months.
Nintendo Switch will release worldwide in March 2017.
