Did You Know Gaming? has covered Super Smash Bros. Melee in their latest video, presenting a chance to learn interesting tidbits about the GameCube mascot brawler.

That talks about how, in wanting to have an orchestrated soundtrack, Masahiro Sakurai offered to pay for it with his own salary. He had also wanted to include eight-player multiplayer, although this was soon seen as being impossible given the GameCube’s technical limitations. Cut content included Ditto and a Sprout Tower stage, with several test stages also present in the game’s files. There are more secrets packed in the game’s Trophies, while there is wide discussion around characters that were considered, cut and unable to be included.
