Spyro Reignited Trilogy was announced for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this week, but many were left disappointed that the young purple dragon won’t have the chance to unleash his fire-breathing attacks on Nintendo Switch.

Toys for Bob is the developer behind the remastered collection, which has seen them remake the three original Spyro games from the ground up – Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

With improved environments, updated controls, brand-new lighting, and recreated cinematics, it would certainly be great to see Spyro Reignited Trilogy release on Nintendo Switch – as the cyclone spinning Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will in the coming months.

The developer hasn’t ruled it out completely either as, when asked about whether the game would release on the portable console, they explained to IGN that they “could not comment,” meaning that we shouldn’t give up hope just yet.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 21st.
