Nintendo has revealed that Next Level Games are the developer that’s behind Luigi’s Mansion 3 on Nintendo Switch.

After receiving an invitation to a luxurious hotel, Luigi sets out on a dream vacation with Mario and friends. However, his dream soon becomes a nightmare when King Boo reveals that it was a plan to capture them all.

With help from Professor E. Gadd, the reluctant and cowardly hero must work his way through the hotel’s haunted floors in an effort to save his friends.

He carries the upgraded Poltergust G-00 that can be used to slam and blow away the ghosts’ defenses, or summon the all-green doppelganger Gooigi for help – whether playing solo or in co-operative multiplayer.

The ScareScraper mode can be played online or locally with up to eight players on four Nintendo Switch consoles, challenging players to clear objectives on a series of floors within the time limit.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2019.
