Big Sugar and Steel Mantis have revealed that Valfaris: Mecha Therion is in development for Nintendo Switch.
Wordily pitched as “an action-packed side-scrolling shoot ’em up with a satisfying old-school feel and distinct low-poly art style,” this sequel to 2019’s Valfaris will see protagonist Therion return – now piloting an advanced machine of death and destruction as he continues to pursue the diabolical Lord Vroll across the galaxy.
The final, inevitable showdown looms, and now strapped into a formidable suit of weaponised metal – Mecha Therion – you will have the chance to equip yourself with devastating firepower such as “enemy eviscerating favourites such as Bringer of Mayhem, Skysplitter, and Therion’s trademark Hellwraith.”
Valfaris: Mecha Therion will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in late 2022.
