Armonica has confirmed a release date for its command-select visual novel adventure Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved on Nintendo Switch.
Having taken inspiration from series such as Famicom Detective Club, Hotel Dusk and Ace Attorney, in your efforts to uncover a dramatic story about a mysterious missing woman, you must lead an investigation on a cross-country train and interrogate a cast of colourful characters.
The developer has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- A dramatic and moving story, inspired by hard-boiled crime fiction, classic cinema, and other classic adventure (ADV) games
- Classic command-select gameplay, designed to maximise player experimentation and deduction while minimising the need to brute force solutions
- A unique mixed-media art style, combining highly expressive 2D pixel art portraits, old-school pre-rendered 3D backgrounds, and traditional illustrations
- A colourful cast of characters with which to converse, with many unique interactions and optional dialogue that reward exploration and curiosity
- Lavish original soundtrack in various musical styles, featuring many live instrument performances
Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 26 November 2025.
