Spike Chunsoft and Q-Games have announced that PixelJunk Monsters 2 will release on Nintendo Switch, the first ever official sequel to the celebrated tower defense game.
You will once again play as Tikiman, and must build towers to defend your Tiki Hut from hordes of monsters. There are new, and sometimes quite explosive, fruit bombs, but the most significant change is that the game has been reimagined in beautifully detailed 3D.
The sequel introduces local co-op with a friend and online co-op with up to four players, the ability to switch between a top-down perspective to an in-your-face view, and the chance to customise Tikiman with different masks and shells.
PixelJunk Monsters 2 will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on May 25th, priced at $14.99.
