High Horse Entertainment has announced that Disc Jam will see release on Nintendo Switch, a fast-paced action sports game that is best described as a frantic mix of air hockey and tennis.

With arcade-inspired gameplay, two to four players will scramble to retrieve and throw a glowing disc while defending their end zone and unleashing devastating abilities that will lend them a momentary advantage. Whether playing against friends on the couch or online, Disc Jam promises an exciting blend of strategy and skill.

The developer has confirmed that the Disc Jam will run in 1080p at 60 frames per second when docked in TV mode, and in 720p at 60 frames per second when played in Handheld mode.

For those that want to compete against others, the game not only has cross-platform play between players on PC and Nintendo Switch but support for local wireless play between four Nintendo Switch consoles.

The game’s release on the portable home console also coincides with a major title update that adds South American volleyball player Lannie to the character roster as well as the new Ranked Leagues and Seasons modes.

Disc Jam will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch on February 8th.
