Abstraction Games and Zojoi have announced that Shadowgate will release on Nintendo Switch, a point-and-click adventure game that was first released for the Apple Macintosh in 1987.

Soon ported to the NES and Game Boy Color, a successful Kickstarter campaign saw backers pledge their support for a remake that hit PlayStation 4 and PC in 2014.

That now comes to Nintendo Switch, where, playing as The Seed of Prophecy, you will descend inside a castle to defeat the dreaded Warlock Lord before he can summon the demon Behemoth from Hell.

The developer has painstakingly recreated the game from the ground up, adding in new puzzles, rooms and objects to interact with, as well as a refined user interface and wheel-based icon command system.

Shadowgate will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Fall 2018.
