SMG Studio has released a major software update for Death Squared, that sees their multiplayer puzzle game about cooperation, communication and robot explosions now sat on version 1.1.0.
This primarily addresses an issue on Level 65 in Story mode, where players were left unable to complete the puzzle when playing with the Nintendo Switch docked in TV Mode.
The developer explained in more detail that a “frame rate drop affects Unity physics at a specific moment,” but that issue has now been resolved.
We had a blast with the multiplayer puzzler, concluding in our review: “Death Squared is available on other platforms, but it, incredibly, feels at home on Nintendo Switch – in tandem with the simplicity of handing a Joy-Con to another play to quickly get them in on the action. If anything, this is a game that I will remember for the trash talking alone.”
