Arc System Works has announced that Dear Me, I Was… will be released on Nintendo Switch next week.
This interactive adventure is the next game from Taisuke Kanazaki, who previously worked at Cing as the director for Another Code: Two Memories, Another Code: R, Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and Last Window: The Secret of Cape West.
Created with vivid watercolour touch and rotoscoping technology, you will relive the life of a certain woman and see the joy, sorrow and growth she experiences through her ordinary and modest life.
Dear Me, I was… previously released for Nintendo Switch 2 last July, and awarded it a perfect score in our review, in which Mikhail wrote that it was “an emotional experience, and I absolutely adored it from start to finish.”
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- A short and simple interactive adventure: This is a textless game with simple interactive elements. Experience the tale of one woman’s life within a short play time of under one hour.
- Vivid visuals captured with watercolour and rotoscoping: A story told through beautiful visuals combining the rich watercolour-style aesthetics of Taisuke Kanasaki and rotoscope technology.
- Memorable theme music and soothing sounds: The theme song, “Strange Journey,” along with the many impressive soundtracks, enhances the story even further.
Dear Me, I Was… will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 12 February 2026.
