Ultimate Games and Moonlit have revealed that Deadliest Catch: The Game is in development for Nintendo Switch.

Promising realistic water physics and a system that generates dynamic weather conditions, this king crab fishing boat simulator is based on the Discovery Channel’s popular documentary series.

You will take control of a special fishing vessel skipper – the “crab hunter” – as you fish for king crabs in the Bering Sea, as well as other activities such as managing your crew.

“Deadliest Catch is one of the few documentary series which constantly enjoy high popularity. This is confirmed by the very fact that it has been broadcast since 2005. Deadliest Catch: The Game will faithfully mirror the conditions known from the program,” explains Ultimate Games CEO Mateusz Zawadzki.

“We placed emphasis on the precision of depiction, a high level of realism and attention to detail. The gameplay will be sophisticated, but at the same time accessible.

“While developing this simulator, we also used the experience gained through creating and publishing one of the best-rated fishing games in the history of the Steam platform, which is Ultimate Fishing Simulator.”

Deadliest Catch: The Game will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2020.
