Dead Cells Scores Physical Nintendo Switch Release

Motion Twin has teamed up with Dead Cells to retail for Nintendo Switch, a roguevania action-platformer that will let players explore a sprawling, ever-changing cursed island.

That’s assuming that you are able to fight your way past its keepers, the game’s completion requiring that players can master fluid, fast-paced combat with the ever-present threat of permadeath looming. No checkpoints. Kill, die, learn, repeat.

“We’ve been absolutely floored by the success of Dead Cells and the reaction of the PC gaming community. So many people have asked for the game on console, so partnering with Merge for a retail copy just makes sense,” Motion Twin producer Steve Filby. “We can’t wait to welcome console players to our community, to hear their feedback and to work with them on future updates of the game.”

Dead Cells will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in 2018.
