Top Hat Studios and Radi Art have announced that Synergia is in development for Nintendo Switch.
This Kickstarter-backed yuri thriller visual novel is set in a cyberpunk future, matched with a vibrant neon aesthetic. It centres on veteran cop Cila, whose sour outlook and anger issues result in her expecting nothing more from life.
When a shady friend replaces her malfunctioned house droid with the more advanced, efficient and remarkably perceptive M.A.R.A., it manages to penetrate through her toughened exterior. That is if Cila can decipher the recurring nightmare that the process brings.
As she starts to find new meaning in her life, the technological giant Velta Labs learns about M.A.R.A.’s existence and take an interest in recovering it. The android could mean the difference between peace, war, the blossoming of a new religion or a technological singularity beyond our comprehension.
Created with “nearly 100 combined, unique backgrounds and CGs,” this 9-hour experience will challenge you to make choices that will “deeply affect” Cila and the world around her, ultimately leading you to one of the game’s multiple endings.
Synergia will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2020.
