Hypetrain Digital and So Romantic have announced that Jack Move is in development for Nintendo Switch.
This RPG has looked to deliver a gritty, near-future cyberpunk story, with a Japanese-style turn-based battle system and pixel art.
Promising to not be “your average JRPG,” the developer hopes to create a fresh take on the genre that will “squeeze the fun, depth and story of a traditionally long genre into a tighter 8-10 hour package.”
You will play as Noa Solares, a vigilante hacker-for-hire whose name is whispered on the streets.
When she receives an emergency message from her estranged father – the eccentric Dr. Abner Solares – she is soon thrust into a world of murder, kidnapping and dark research.
After his wife’s death had spurred him to become the leading researcher into digital reanimation, he became the target of the overreaching Monomind corporation who mean to use it for their own ends. What starts as a fight to rescue her father soon becomes a battle for the future of mankind.
Jack Move will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in early 2021.
