Legendary Nintendo figurehead Shigeru Miyamoto has been likened to a “more friendly Steve Jobs but just as cutting.”

Such description was provided by Q-Games founder Dylan Cuthbert, who previously worked with the company during the early years of Star Fox.

“His private face is different to his public face,” Cuthbert discussed when asked as to who his most inspirational industry figure was, in a GAME Facebook fan Q&A.

“His style of chasing ideas and cutting through bulls*** is brilliant. Internally he’s kind of like a slightly more friendly Steve Jobs, but just as cutting.”

Miyamoto has previously admitted keeping a close eye on Nintendo’s various development teams, and “upending the tea table” on projects not to his satisfaction.
