Players will soon have the chance to set out on a globe-trotting adventure in Super Mario Odyssey, and, leading up to launch, Nintendo of America will take a custom trailer on a cross-country tour across the United States.
The custom trailer sports Super Mario Odyssey artwork and a giant inflatable Cappy, with fans having the chance to play the Nintendo Switch exclusive and have a photo taken with the moustachioed hero – the costumed character now wearing Cappy, too!
The tour will start in Los Angeles at Universal CityWalk tomorrow and will end up in New York on Thursday 26th October, where the first 200 people in line will have access to the event and can buy the game at midnight.
“Super Mario Odyssey is all about travel, exploration and that feeling you get when you discover something new and exciting,” enthuses Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime.
“Mario’s interactive journey in the real world is a great way for fans to get excited for the game’s launch by getting hands-on time, as well as following Mario as he explores and discovers locations all across the country.”
The Super Mario Odyssey trailer is scheduled to visit the following locations, and is open to the public on a first-come, first served basis:
