Koch Media and Crytek have confirmed that Crysis Remastered will receive a physical release on Nintendo Switch later this year.

This standalone retail version will include “an exclusive bonus art card as a collector’s item for fans of the series.”

Crysis was originally released for PC back in 2007, and was used as a way to benchmark hardware performance in relation to the game’s high-end system requirements. So much so, that it eventually went on to create the “But can it run Crysis?” meme.

The first-person shooter has now been remastered and optimised for the portable home console, delivering the original game’s single-player campaign which sees you playing as the super-soldier, Nomad.

Armed with a powerful Nanosuit which is equipped with Speed, Strength, Armor and Cloaking abilities, you must use an arsenal of modular weaponry and adapt your tactics and gear to dominate your enemies.

Crysis Remastered is now available on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide and will release at retailers in Autumn 2021.
