Nintendo has shared a new Super Mario Maker overview video, revealing that players can create their own sound effects that may even generate humorous visuals when activated.

Note Blocks can also be shaken to become a Music Block, with the note that they play being based on their height in-game. This will open up the opportunity for level creators to arrange songs of their choice.

It is also confirmed that Nintendo have looked to ease players into creation, making only a selection of tools available from the start and expanding these every day that you play.

Meanwhile, they also reconfirmed that the Wii U exclusive will be compatible with more than 50 amiibo. Whether that be Link, Wii Fit Trainer and Kirby, or the special 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo that lets you power up with Big Mario.

Super Mario Maker will release exclusively for Wii U in Japan on September 10th, and worldwide on September 11th.
