Skystone Games and Transhuman Design have confirmed a release date for their rogue-lite crime action game Maniac on Nintendo Switch.
Created as a throwback to causing sheer mayhem and destruction in the original Grand Theft Auto, the world is against you, and your insanity creates chaos.
Promising to test your limits and keep you coming back for more, you will dive headfirst into a world filled with unexpected twists, mind-bending challenges and non-stop action.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- GTA meets Vampire Survivors with a dash of Fast and the Furious thrown in to make one hell of a chaotic mess!
- Don’t feel crazy enough? We got you! With an arsenal of Democracy at your fingertips from highjacking Bulldozers, Buses, Cop Cars, Tanks, and then some, destruction is all around!
- Six psychopaths with a myriad of skills, unlockable gear, and vehicular upgrades all just waiting to be unleashed!
- A Chaotic Open World City, just waiting for the chains of mayhem to snap! With 11 unique districts and a built-in map editor, your playground awaits!

Maniac will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 22 May 2025.
