SEGA has announced that Crazy Taxi: World Tour is in development for Nintendo Switch 2.
Crazy Taxi creator Kenji Kanno is leading the project, which promises to take you on “a high-octane adventure around the globe.”
You play as Axel in the game’s new World Tour story-driven campaign, and you will be challenged to chase down the mysterious masked villains who stole his beloved taxi while tackling extreme missions and challenges.
“The new trailer, set to the iconic track ‘All I Want’ from The Offspring, follows long-time series protagonist Axel on an exciting high-speed ride around a familiar city before a mysterious new driver arrives and sets him off on an international adventure,” the publisher explained in a press release.
The publisher has outlined the game’s additional key features, which include:
- New maps and missions: Navigate diverse terrain across five unique cities
- Multiplayer modes: Play against friends or online competitors around the world
- New vehicles and customisation: Unlock a wide variety of vehicles and customisation options to create your own one-of-a-kind ride
- Classic mode: Revisit the thrills of the original games in Arcade Mode
Crazy Taxi: World Tour will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide in 2027.
