Activision and Beenox have revealed that Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will receive free post-launch content.
The Grand Prix events will present you with the chance to participate in bonus seasonal content, with the first to start on Wednesday 3rd July.
Each Grand Prix will introduce a new track for players to speed around, as well as a new character, karts, and customization items that you can unlock.
This first Grand Prix will add the Twilight Tour track and Tawna as an unlockable character. Whereas, looking ahead, the first season will let you unlock Nitro Squad, whereas, as rumored, in the next Grand Prix seasons you will be able to unlock Spyro as a playable character.
“Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled was designed to deliver fun in unexpected and exciting ways. The Grand Prix does that by giving players a reason to fall in love with the game over and over again,” explains Beenox co-studio head Thomas Wilson.
“Crash Team Racing was an iconic game in the ‘90s that influenced how gamers played kart racer games, and we’re thrilled to continue that tradition with Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled by introducing new content to players in ways they haven’t imagined yet — the race definitely isn’t over once you cross the finish line.”
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide on June 21st.
