Nintendo has previously shared that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would have a staggering 103 stages to brawl across, but, this week’s CoroCoro Comic has seen the Japanese monthly manga magazine up that to 108 stages.
Whether that has leaked that more are to be revealed is unclear at this point. While Nintendo has admitted that not every stage will return, the Nintendo Switch exclusive mascot brawler will see new additions in Dracula’s Castle from the Castlevania series, New Donk City Hall from Super Mario Odyssey and others.
“If we exclude Battlefield, Final Destination and Big Battlefield, we’d have exactly 100,” game director Masahiro Sakurai explained in the Super Smash Bros. Direct.
“Every stage can also be transformed into both Battlefield and Omega forms, so the total number of stages is actually more than 300! All of these stages can be played in 8-player battles. And they are all available from the beginning.”
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on December 7th.
