Funcom and Mighty Kingdom have confirmed that Conan Chop Chop has suffered a delay on Nintendo Switch.

“We are almost at the finish line. The additional time is to ensure that the game is optimized for online multiplayer, and to give us a chance to add some polish here and there,” explains Mighty Kingdom CEO Philip Mayes.

“It’s basically all about getting that final Chop in place. This isn’t merely a one-chop game. This is Conan Chop Chop, and that necessitates extra attention to detail.”

This action-adventure with roguelike elements comes with support for up to four players in local and online multiplayer.

Set in Hyboria, players are challenged to thwart wizard Thoth-Amon’s evil plan to resurrect the even eviler wizard Xaltotun. Succeed, and he will condemn the world to an eternity of darkness and enslavement.

With randomly generated maps and armed with tons of weapons and abilities, you must summon all your courage and swordsmanship to stop him.

Conan Chop Chop will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Q2 2020.
