Compete To Win Nintendo NX In The ESL Go4Splatoon Tournaments

The first ESL Go4Splatoon tournament will take place this Sunday afternoon, kickstarting a six-month season that will eventually culminate in 2017 with a grand final showdown where players will compete to win Nintendo NX.

The first weekly cup will take place at 3pm BST (4pm CEST) on Sunday 11th September,
with the team that emerges victorious each receiving an item of official Splatoon clothing signed by members of the Wii U exclusive’s development team.

Nintendo has clarified that the top teams from each weekly tournament will earn Go4Splatoon ranking points, and each calendar month, the eight teams with the most points will proceed to the following month’s Europe Monthly Final. This means that September’s highest-ranked teams will go through to the monthly cup in mid-October.

As the season continues, the victorious side in each monthly cup will earn a place at the grand final in 2017. This will reveal Europe’s best Splatoon team, with each player on the winning side to receive Nintendo NX.

Teams ready to compete can sign up for the first tournament on the ESL Go4Splatoon website, which also has details on the full rules and regulations.
