Square Enix has announced plans to release Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend on Nintendo Switch, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the SaGa series.

This digital collection will let you experience the first three games in the series that were originally released on Game Boy in 1989: The Final Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend II and Final Fantasy Legend III.

These classic 8-bit role-playing games were created by Akitoshi Kawazu and will see you journey across fantasy worlds, battle monsters, explore towns, descend into dungeons and more.

They come to the portable home console with enhancements to improve your experience, which includes:

  • Character speed boost
  • Adjustable screen magnification
  • Retro display mode to replicate that glorious Game Boy experience
  • New commemorative music and illustrations

There are other additions such as a special anniversary song, eight different in-game wallpapers and the choice to play in either Japanese or English text. You can also detach the Joy-Con controllers and hold the console vertically, using the on-screen buttons to replicate a Game Boy-like experience.

Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 15th December 2020.
