Nintendo of America have performed a major overhaul of their Club Nintendo reward program, introducing the ability to purchase downloadable games with your Coins.

Members that earn enough Coins will be able to redeem them for select downloadable Wii and Nintendo 3DS games, with the first being Super Mario Kart on Wii (100 Coins) and 3D Classics: Xevious (100 Coins) and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! (150 Coins) for the Nintendo 3DS.

These will be available until January 10th, with Nintendo listening to feedback from members to decide the next selection following this.

Nintendo has also added new Rewards, which include Nintendo-themed notebooks, pen cases, and a set of limited-edition posters to honour the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda.

There’s no word as to whether any changes are to be made to the European version of Club Nintendo.
