Coatsink and Noio have confirmed that Cloud Gardens will release on Nintendo Switch this month.
Pitched as a “chill title about using the power of nature to reclaim beautiful lo-fi scenes of urban decay,” this meditative game looks to help you embrace your creativity – simply tasking you with creating small plant-covered dioramas.
Whether choosing to spend time in the relaxing sandbox mode where you have no goals, or taking on the multi-chapter campaign in which you must “strike a balance between the natural and manufactured,” you will plant seeds, repurpose discarded objects and create unlikely structures for nature to reclaim.
The publisher explains that the experience “hovers somewhere in between a sandbox toy and a game with challenges. Partly a gardening simulator, partly a dystopian landscape builder, and partly a puzzle game that is both satisfying and without frustration.”
Cloud Gardens will release digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 16th June 2022, priced at £13.99 ($17.99).
