The monthly Pikachu plushes that have been released at Japan’s Pokémon Center stores continue to make their way to North America.

These special plushes are bannered under the Pikachu celebrations line, with the first to arrive having been the Intern Pikachu. The Children’s Day Pikachu has now become the second to arrive through, which saw release across Japan in May to honour the country’s holiday that has celebrated children every year since 1925.

That is commemorated with Koinobori (carp wind socks) and samurai dolls, both of which are represented in the Pikachu plush – which sees the electric mouse wear a samurai helmet and carry Magikarp-themed Koinobori.

The Children’s Day Pikachu is 7.5 inches tall, and is available to purchase now priced at $17.99.
