HandyGames and The Wild Gentlemen have released a new trailer for Chicken Police, which is coming to Nintendo Switch.

Sonny Featherland and Marty MacChicken were once a legendary detective duo, but are now nothing more than a washed-up wreck and a wannabe star-detective.

Thanks to a mysterious case that comes along, things are about to change. As they journey through the crooked city of Clawville, they must face the demons of their dark past.

Created with artistic photo-manipulation and lifelike 3D backgrounds, you can expect a grim and sinister story with satire in an experience that takes inspiration from the classic film-noir movies of the ’40s.

“Maybe the most important thing is that the mood and the atmosphere must be coherent,” explains game director Bánk.

“In creating narrative games, you must pay attention to a lot of things that the player maybe won’t even notice (or will be affected only subconsciously), but all in all, I believe everything stands on the characters, whom we’ll learn to love or hate to be breathing with them within the world they live in.

“It all depends on whether you, the player, want to know, is the character have a life outside of the game? If the answer is yes, you, as a writer, did your job well.”

Chicken Police will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2020.
