The Pokémon Company has revealed PokéLand as their next foray into the mobile market, a continuation of their Pokémon Rumble series.

The game, which requires an online connection, will see players explore islands with their Toy Pokémon to discover treasure chests, earn P and Gears in order to strengthen their team. Also, Diamonds can be exchanged for maps to unlock new islands to explore.

It has now entered an Alpha test on Android devices in Japan, in which players can find 134 different Pokémon, take on 52 stages and challenge Champion Tower up until the 15th floor.

While data from the Alpha test will be deleted once the game eventually sees release, PokéLand will integrate with the Nintendo Account service – allowing players to move stored data between devices and for to use their Mii.

The Pokémon Rumble series began life on WiiWare, before seeing successive releases on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in Super Pokémon Rumble, Pokémon Rumble U and the free-to-start Pokémon Rumble World.
