Celebi event celebrates Pokémon Shuffle reaching 3.5 million downloads
Pokémon Shuffle continues to be an enormous success for The Pokémon Company International, today sharing that the free-to-start Nintendo 3DS exclusive has reached 3.5 million downloads worldwide.
That milestone is being marked by introducing a new challenge that provides access to Mythical Pokémon Celebi, running between 27th April – 18th May at 06:00 UTC.You receive 1000 Coins for completing it the first time.
Serebii reports that you players will be required to download the newest software update, Version 1.1.11, to play, rewarded with 1000 Coins when you complete the stage for the first time.
We’ve enjoyed the match-three puzzler, writing in our review: “With the diverse age range that Pokémon attracts, it stings to realise that players will eventually reach a bottleneck where they’ll feel that they can’t continue without parting with some cash.
“For a series that has long clung to the “Gotta catch ’em all!” mantra, it feels a nigh on impossible accomplishment this time around – which is regrettable when the puzzle design’s irrepressibly fun, if nothing that we haven’t seen before elsewhere.”
