Causal Bit Games bringing Insanity’s Blade to Wii U

Causal Bit Games have announced that the have become the latest in a long line of officially-approved Nintendo developers.

This means that the Canadian indie are no working toward bringing their project, Insanity’s Blade: The Chronicles of Thurstan, to the Wii U’s Nintendo eShop in the near future. The arcade-style experience is the first entry in a series that will trace the journey of a sword that has been possessed by a father’s powerful grief and hatred, a rather wicked predicament indeed.

The first title will tell the tale of the sword’s creation, weaving action, platforming and RPG elements as well as supporting two-player co-operative gameplay. It has been designed to match the capabilities of the original NES, with a soundtrack that could still be played on the hardware today, and will see players tackle 18 stages in their newfound quest.

We’ll keep you posted as more is announced, but you can catch a trailer for Insanity’s Blade below!
