SOEDESCO and Clay Game Studio have announced that their cosy rhythm adventure game Mirth Island is in development for Nintendo Switch.
This successor to Mirth Melody has looked to expand on “the heartfelt world and musical charm players have come to love.”
The game stars a young duck called Dodo, who, after returning home when his acting career falls apart, discovers that the island’s beloved theatre lies in ruins. With help from his childhood friends Viva and Rita, Dodo decides to rebuild it and soon recognises that helping others can be the start of his own healing.
In this single-player adventure game, you will have the chance to explore a surreal island crammed with charming locals, minigames and feel-good quests. You will have the chance to meet the villagers and help solve their everyday problems.
The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:
- Cosy adventure gameplay: roam the island, complete quests, and meet friends
- Wholesome mini rhythm games for both casual players and challenge seekers
- Colourful, cosy atmosphere: a vibrant, slightly surreal world with striking visuals and uplifting music
- Heartwarming narrative: a story about resilience, personal growth, and the strength of community.
Mirth Island will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide “later this year.”
