Catch Mewtwo In Pokémon GO Through Exclusive Raid Battles

Niantic has announced that players will soon be able to catch Mewtwo in Pokémon GO, after the Legendary Pokémon made an appearance at the Pokémon GO Stadium event in Yokohama, Japan.

The Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon will become available in Exclusive Raid Battles worldwide, that work in the same way as existing Raid Battles but require that players have an invitation.

Pokémon GO players will receive an invitation to participate in an Exclusive Raid Battle, but, in order to do so, they must have successfully completed a raid recently by toppling the Raid Boss at the Gym where the Exclusive Raid Battle will take place.

The invitation will be distributed in advance of when the Exclusive Raid Battle will take place, presenting enough of a chance to plan to take part.

Mewtwo is the first Pokémon that will appear this way, but Niantic has teased that “other powerful Pokémon” will make an appearance over the next several weeks.
