The Australian Classification Board has issued a rating for Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, suggesting that it will soon join the illustrious roster of Game Boy Advance classics headed to Wii U’s Virtual Console.
Set in 2035, Aria of Sorrow traces a storyline in which Dracula has been sealed away from battle since 1999. With his powers promised to be passed to his reincarnation, it is protagonist Soma Cruz who is destined to be a potential vessel and who sets out to vanquish foes looking to secure such powers for themselves.
Aria of Sorrow continued in the traditional 2D side-scrolling style that has been used throughout the franchise’s history, with weapons remaining largely medieval despite the game’s futuristic setting.
