Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed that Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is in development for Nintendo Switch.

This arcade football game comes 10 years after the last, and, based on the manga masterpiece, uses toon shading to produce anime-like graphics.

You will have the chance to lead your team to victory, exchanging super players against rivals in real-time and performing dream skills against your opponents.

“Securing the Captain Tsubasa license to bring a football game to the western market is a dream come true,” enthuses Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe senior vice president of marketing, digital and content, Hervé Hoerdt.

“Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions isn’t created just for the fans of the manga, but will be enjoyed by football fans all over the world!”

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2020.
