Alongside Pikmin 3 soon descending upon retail, Nintendo have today confirmed that Captain Olimar will make return as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, indigenous critters in tow.
Screenshots shared on the game’s official website show Olimar slapping competitors in the face with Pikmin, and hurling them directly at opponents.
He first made his appearance within the globally successful series in Wii exclusive Super Smash Bros. Brawl, alongside other newcomers that included Pit (from Kid Icarus), Solid Snake, Sonic the Hedgehog, and the dastardly Wario.
So far, announced newcomers to 2014 instalment include the Villager (from Animal Crossing), Mega Man, and a Wii Fit Trainer.
