Capcom has shared that they “will consider” creating technical demonstrations and porting titles currently in development to NX, Nintendo’s as yet undisclosed new “dedicated game platform.”

Asked at their quarterly financial results briefing as to whether their plans surrounding NX and PlayStation VR would influence the timing of launching games currently in development, the publisher remained coy in their response.

“Our R&D operations are working on technologies for many types of hardware,” they replied. “We will consider the possibility of creating technology demonstrations and making versions of titles under development for these new platforms. At this time, we have not announced any plans for specific products or the timing of a product launch.”

While Capcom’s support for Wii U has been particularly minimal, they continue to position their development resources behind the Nintendo 3DS – with games such as Monster Hunter X, Monster Hunter Stories and Ace Attorney 6 releasing within the next year.
