Capcom: Resident Evil Revelations “one of the scariest games we’ve ever made”

Resident Evil: Revelations producer Tsukasa Takenaka has explained his belief that the game is “one of the scariest games” the company has ever made.

Such a sentiment probably holds some truth, with Capcom returning the series to its survival-horror roots following recent criticism that it had strayed away from the popular gaming genre that it created.

“It is one of the scariest games we’ve ever made. I’ve played through Revelations many, many times now and I still find myself letting out screams when I’m playing even though I know what’s coming,” Takenaka confessed. “To give you an idea of how scary it is, sometimes I’ll be sitting in the office reviewing the latest build and still get scared and shout out. The other guys in the office get really worried about me and are always asking ‘What the heck is wrong with you Takenaka?!'”

Resident Evil: Revelations is due to release for Nintendo 3DS on January 27th in Europe and February 7th across North America.
